Art's Room

Art can be many things. But depending on the person it can be a few things. Most can agree that certain paintings, sculptures, music, and poetry are forms o poetry. But than we get into that grey area when you go into depth with some of these. For example many people don't like to call abstract art art because it is sometimes so easy to do or it can be done by basically anyone. Thats also the same with music, as some don't consider rap a art form, because some is to violent and doesn't always give the best message. But my opinion is that art is something that evokes emotion and gives you a certain feeling. So if thats a painting by my four year sister than, its art becasue it makes me proud and happy. As far as something being beuatiful to be art, you really can't use that because I think most have a different version of beautiful. so it could create some problems there. In all art is what each person considers art.

The piece I choose to share was a song by rapper Drake. The song is called Marvin's room released in early 2011. The song talks about a past relationship he had and how one night made hime think about there relationship. He wants what they had back but its something that can't be.  I first heard the song from a couple of friends and have loved it since. For me this is art because it evokes emotion and gives you a certain feeling. It makes me think of past relationships that I've had and makes me think what could have changed to make them better.
