Where do I start in evaluating my time in English 15. At first I thought I would hate it. Mainly because I don't mind writing, I just hate writing a lot. But with this class I actually learned how to enjoy writing more than I use too. When I say I learned how to enjoy writing more, I mean that I found a way to make it more personal so that it didn't feel like I was pulling teeth to make three pages all the time. Like the memoir and our view of art blog was something that I found very fun easy to do, because it was strictly from my perspective and my point of view. I also learned to make writing a process and not something that you just throw together. This could be just because I'm getting older and trying not procrastinate as much any more, but with most of my writings for the semester I took time to do them. I usually wrote time in a relaxed environment and sometimes took days or weeks to write something. As far as Penn State, I didn't really learn anything that I didn't already know except to leave a little earlier for class in the morning. It got a little awkward being the last person to walk in class everyday. I really like that this class helped bring art to light for me. I never really thought of art as music, comedy, clothing, or things of that nature but after this class it really opened my eyes. It gave me a greater appreciation for the art around me. The paper we did on a issue helped deepen the appreciation a lot also. Something that I really enjoyed was the memoir. It was really the first time I wrote something really personal. It helped a lot, because it explored a lot of feelings that I never talked about , and this got them out for me. Another thing I learned from this course was to double and triple check my grammar. College level writing is alot differnt from high school and it took me a while to realize that.
